Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A three day party in Downtown Duluth known as Sidewalk Days kicks off Wednesday morning.
The big event features classic cars to mouth-watering food, a street dance and even a chance for people to rappel down the side of a building.
Sidewalk Days will result in a number of traffic changes along Superior Street, from Lake Avenue to 4th Avenue West.
For those riding the bus, the Downtown Transit Center and Holiday Center Bus Stop won't be serviced by buses during Sidewalk Days street closures.
Riders will need to transfer at the Library or Radisson bus stops.

Duluth’s Downtown Sidewalk Days & Street Dances will be held July 9th -12th (Hours: 8am-9pm Wed, 8am-6pm Thurs, & Fri, for Street Dances Fri 6pm-Midnight, Sat 4pm to Midnight) resulting in the following traffic changes:
Superior Street from Lake Ave to 4th Avenue West will be closed to all vehicle traffic Wednesday July 9th thru Friday July 11th from 8:00am – 6:0pm each day. NO PARKING regulations begin at 7am. Vehicles will be tagged and are subject to tow. The Avenues will be open at these times, with the following exceptions:
-On Wednesday July 9th, from 3:30pm-9:00pm the Superior Street closure and NO PARKING regulations will expand-- to 5th Ave W
- 3rd Ave E to facilitate the Classic Car Show and Harley Revue. During this time, all avenues will be closed to traffic EXCEPT 3rd Ave East, Lake Avenue, and 5th Ave West. Superior Street should be open to traffic by 9:00pm.
-On Friday, July 11th, from 6:00pm-12midnight 1st Street between 1st Ave W - 2nd Ave W, and 3rd Ave W - 4th Ave W will be barricaded and closed to any traffic and will be posted “No Parking After 5PM ” for the Roscoe’s Pioneer and Aces street dances. Vehicles parked in violation will be tagged and subject to tow.
-On Saturday, July 12th from 4:00pm-12midnight the 100 block of West Superior Street between 1st Ave W – 2nd Ave W will be barricaded to any traffic and posted “No Parking After 4PM” for the Dubh Linn’s Irish Pub street dance. Vehicles parked in violation will be tagged and subject to tow
DTA buses and the Port Town Trolley will use East bound Michigan Street to 3rd Avenue East, and West bound First Street to 5th Avenue West during the Wednesday – Friday Sidewalk Days street closures. Watch for posted NO PARKING signs for temporary bus stops.
The Downtown Transit Center and Holiday Center Bus Stop will not be serviced by buses during Sidewalk Days street closures.
DTA customers are advised to transfer at the Library or Radisson bus stops for connections to other buses.
Please be alert to pedestrian traffic, barricaded roadways, posted “no parking areas”, and Police Officers directing traffic during these events.
