Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A sure sign that summer is just around the corner is the annual raising of the roses at the Rose Garden in Duluth.
City officials say the resurrection is about two weeks late this year due to the extended winter.
And the roses were ready to come up--some of them had already started to bud.
Some community members were eager to get outside and help out on one of the first nice days we have seen in about a week.
"This is my first time coming down," said volunteer Kevin Anderson, "so it's a lot of fun and great soil to get down and dirty and get these roses up ready for summer.
Many people passing by also stopped to appreciate some of the flowers that have already started popping up around the garden.
