Mendota Heights, MN (NNCNOW.com) - One person was hurt and taken to the hospital after a 60 vehicle crash near the Twin Cities.

The crash on Highway 55 in Mendota Heights happened just after 1 p.m. Monday when two vehicles lost control, causing a semi to jackknife.

Authorities point to slippery conditions as the cause.

They say the bridge was blocked due to the crash causing vehicles to pile up.

The highway reopened just after 3 p.m.
