Small Business Saturday Helps to Jump Start Holiday Shopping
Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.COM) --- Twenty-five retailers have joined forces in an extra push to bring shoppers downtown Duluth for Small Business Saturday. It's part of a national effort held between black Friday and Cyber Monday. Many businesses offer discounts, promotions, demonstrations and workshops as an incentive for shoppers to visit small, locally owned businesses instead of big retailers and e-commerce stores. Many downtown retailers we spoke with today say Small Business Saturday helps to jump start the holiday shopping season. "Coming out, and buying our coffee this time of year just gives us that extra push that we need to help us through the winter-especially during a time when there aren't as many tourists in the area," Eric Faust, Owner of Duluth Coffee Co. said. The Northland's NewsCenter will have tremendous half off deals available for Cyber Monday.
