Sauk Rapids, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A small plane crashed into a house Friday evening in the Central Minnesota town of Sauk Rapids, killing the pilot and passenger, and causing a large house fire.

The owner of the home told the St. Cloud Times that his Brother-in-law was in the house, but escaped safely through a window.

No one on the ground was hurt.

A preliminary investigation indicates the two people in the single-engine plane were sightseeing when the plane went down.

No word yet on what caused the crash, which is currently under investigation.
