Special Election Set for Vacant St. Louis Co. Commissioner's Seat
Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A special election has been set by the St. Louis County Board to fill the vacant second district commissioner seat, once held by the late Steve O'Neil. Commissioners agreed that the district will hold a special election on January 14th to make a final decision on who will represent the second district. In a 4 to 2 vote by the board, commissioners also set a public hearing for August 13th at the Duluth Courthouse to discuss the seat vacancy with the public. The special election for the seat, can't be held less than 120 days after the seat has been declared vacant.
