Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A special fund has been set up for the 19 year old UMD student found subconscious in below–zero temperatures over the weekend.
According to Alyssa Jo Lommel's Caring Bridge website, the fund has been set up at Bremer Bank, in Saint Cloud.
The family also updated Lommel's condition saying she had to be taken into surgery Thursday night because she was having problems breathing. Lommel is now on an oscillating ventilator to help her breathe.
According to Regions Hospital in St. Cloud, Lommel remains in critical condition.
Lommel's family says they're thankful for the support they've received so far.
When Police found Lommel on a porch in Duluth's Woodland neighborhood, her hands and other exposed body parts showed extreme swelling and there were signs of severe hypothermia.
