Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - International Book Giving Day was the brainchild of now eight–year–old reading enthusiast Jack Broadmoore, who wanted others to partake in the joys of reading.
The mission, says Jack's mom Amy Broadmoore, is to increase children's access and enthusiasm for books.
From now until the end of February, various Northland locations, like the Fitger's Bookstore, will be accepting children's book donations.
While it is international, with 25 countries participating, Northland collections will go toward Nettleton Elementary.
International Book Giving Day is officially on February 14th.
