Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -All weekend the school is celebrating their 100th birthday.

The Winter Festival kicked off on campus earlier today with mini Olympics and the cutest puppy contest all taking place.

Officials with the school say without the help of the community, the school wouldn't have been able to make it these last hundred years.

Hundreds of people have already turned out for the festivities and organizers say the entire event is just their way to give back.

"Tonight we are going to hear Bill Bastian sing and this afternoon it's just been wonderful to see all the kids and families out having a good time," said Ann Elliott, an organizer with the event.
