Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Members of the Steelworkers Union voted down the Essentia Health St. Mary's contract offer that affects their wages and benefits, according to Kim Kaiser, the Essentia Health St. Mary's spokesperson.
Essentia Health officials have met with members of the workers union 20 times since April and many officials at the heath care facility were hopeful the contract would be approved.
Employees have been without a contract and in negotiations since July.
The vote that occurs every three years took place Wednesday, December 19th at the Duluth Labor Temple.
