MN Power Crews Restore Power Following Strong Winds
Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) More than 2,000 Minnesota Power customers in Duluth have experienced power outages Thursday, caused by high winds and downed lines. Winds in the Duluth area are gusting up to 50 mph. MN power officials say a tree fell on a line on Toledo Street around 5:30 a.m. resulting in loss of power to about 2,049 customers in the Kenwood and East Hillside areas of Duluth. Crews were able to partially restore power around 7:20 a.m. and all customers were back in service at 8:27 a.m. Crews are working to restore an outage to about 150 customers in the Island Lake area after a tree fell on a power line.
