Suspect Arrested in Cloquet Bank Burglary

Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the burglary of Cornerstone State Bank in Cloquet on November 11.

Cloquet Police executed a search warrant at an apartment on the 1000 block of 13th street in Cloquet, where they found evidence relating to the case. The clothing worn by the alleged burglar was found, along with money believed to be belonging to the Cornerstone State Bank.

Officers were called to the Cornerstone Bank along the 1500 block of Cloquet Avenue around 5:50 a.m. on November 11 on reports of a broken window. Upon further investigation, authorities determined that an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the bank.

Surveillance video captured footage of someone inside of the bank.

Authorities also say they found a unique rock at the scene of the incident.

The suspect, a Cloquet man, was arrested and is currently being held at the Carlton County Law Enforcement Center pending formal charges.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time
