Alexandria, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A suspect has been arrested in connection with armed robberies which were reported last Tuesday.

Late last Tuesday an armed robbery took place at Super America on Broadway St. in Alexandria. At the beginning of the investigation, this is what police believe went down.

A man entered the store close to midnight holding a handgun; he forced the clerk to hand over money from the register then took her to the back room where he bound her hands and ankles. She was later treated for minor injuries.

The suspect then left through the front doors. Once outside, he stole someone's wallet that was in a vehicle in the parking lot. Police believe he took off in a vehicle that picked him up.

The case remains under investigation. If you have any questions you can call the Alexandria Police Department at (320) 763–6631.
