Suspect in Duluth high speed chase facing multiple charges

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The man who sent police on a high speed chase and then tried to climb over the fence at the 148th Fighter Wing has been charged.

52 year old Jeffrey Jerome Hoff of Duluth was charged with First Degree Burglary, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Theft and Fleeing a Police Officer.

On Thursday, authorities responded to the report of a stolen car along with numerous firearms from a home on Lismore Road in Duluth.

St. Louis County Sheriff deputies located the stolen car, however the suspect sent officers on a chase along Rice Lake Road.

The suspect allegedly crashed the car near the 148th Air National Guards and then attempted to climb the fence.

Hoff was taken into custody and now has bail set at 50 thousand dollars.
