Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- There is some startling news tonight about a death in downtown Duluth that police are calling suspicious.

Authorities arrived at the Frances Skinner Apartments this morning after a renter of an apartment called and said he found a man dead.

The most updated information from the Duluth Police provides little insight into this incident and is calling the incident a suspicious death.

There is no information about any kind of suspect in connection with the death as of yet.

Police do say they arrived to the Frances Skinner Apartments this morning and found suspicious injuries and a deceased male.

This case is being handled as a suspicious death investigation.

After speaking with the residents of this apartment this morning, nobody heard or saw any sign of a struggle around the time of call to police

"It's kind of sad that someone lost their life right above me when I didn't know what was going on and I couldn't call the police at that time to help them."

The body will be examined by the St. Louis County Medical Examiners Office who will report the official cause of death.

The name of the victim will be released once the family is notified.

Many of the residents say the low income apartment building does have a problem with drug usage and alcohol abuse.
