Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- If you plan on being a spectator at Grandma's Marathon this year, you may see more purple than usual.
"Team Hope" is being formed to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.
Sarah Peterson's dad has pancreatic cancer.
He sits on Grandma's Board of Directors and has been an avid runner throughout his life.
She'll be joining the team and running in honor of her father.
"We've always done together, running and it's a passion of both of ours so it's a great way to be able to raise money for pancreatic cancer and do something that he enjoys as well at the same time."
And if you're looking to run and raise money for a good cause, a certain amount of guaranteed half marathon and 5K entries have been set aside for "Team Hope."
This will be Sarah's first full marathon. She says she looks forward to seeing her dad at the finish line.
