Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Thousands of women looking for a little extra "me time" in a big way spent the afternoon at the DECC in Duluth for the Sixth Annual Women's Expo Saturday.
Every year, the expo features over 100 exhibitors, shopping, sampling, and some much appreciated pampering.
Spokespeople say the event gives regional women an opportunity to have a day dedicated to themselves, along with an opportunity for regional businesses to show off their products.
One new business at the Women's Expo this year is Waxing the City, which is set to open at the Bluestone Lofts, near UMD on Monday.
Owner Jo Haubrich says Duluth offers a perfect fit for her business.
"Duluth is a growing business community... and we saw it as being very upscale in connection with the shops of Bluestone," said Haubrich at her expo booth, "so it was a perfect mix, perfect market, and perfect opportunity--why not Duluth?"
Highlights of the Women's Expo include a runway fashion show, which was expanded this year to include a number of regional fashion businesses.
