Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A three-car crash shut down the Blatnik Bridge for awhile, earlier today.

Superior Police say a vehicle slowed down to allow a construction vehicle to merge when they were hit by another vehicle from behind, which caused a chain reaction accident.

A driver of one of the vehicles complained of a sore neck, but no medical treatment was requested.

The accident remains under investigation but authorities say once they confirm which driver caused the accident, a ticket will most likely be issued for following too closely.

The bridge was closed for nearly a half hour and traffic was rerouted to the Bong Bridge while a wrecker was brought in to tow disabled vehicles.
