Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Three more businesses will set up shop in Duluth's Downtown as part of the Pop-up Downtown program during the holiday shopping season.
UMD Stores: UMD will have an off-campus presence in the downtown, selling its popular UMD Bulldog imprinted apparel and gift items. The store will be located at 5 West Superior Street.
Tortoise and Hare Footwear: This Duluth business will bring its Loki outerwear apparel line and various footwear lines and accessories to the Holiday Center. They will be located in the skywalk of the Holiday Center.
ABedell Imaging & Berini Photography: Landscape photographer Amanda Bedell will showcase her framed landscape prints, while portrait photographer Bri Berini will focus on portraits and wedding photography through the downtown studio. They will be located at 5 N. 3rd Avenue West.
With these three stores, the total number of new retail businesses has now increased to 11. These shops will open by November 30th, just in time for Small Business Saturday.
As part of the Pop-Up Downtown program, property owners have offered space rent-free for the holiday season, while tenants have been asked to cover utility costs.
The program is aimed at activating vacant storefronts, while also allowing businesses to test the market.
Many of the 11 businesses in the program are already busying themselves week moving in merchandise and setting up their shops.
