Superior, WI (Northland’s NewsCenter) --- Wisconsin U.S. Senate candidate, Tommy Thompson made a stop in Superior as he continues his three-day, 10-city Restore America Tour.
Thompson is running for the Senate seat against Democratic U.S. Representative Tammy Baldwin.
Both candidates are hoping to replace retiring democratic Senator Herb Kohl, who has held the seat for 24 years.
At the Victory Center in Superior, Thompson joined Mayor Bruce Hagen and rallied supporters.
Thompson shared his plan to help employers create jobs, bring bi-partisanship back to Washington, D.C. and restore fiscal reason to Congress.
"We have a chance here in Wisconsin to change the direction of the free world,” he said. “If we win Wisconsin for Mitt Romney, he's going to become President. That's why Barack Obama is back in WI for three days."
Thompson will continue his tour in western Wisconsin tomorrow.
Tammy Baldwin has represented the 2nd Congressional District since 1999 and is also campaigning in Wisconsin this weekend.
