Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Two candidates have thrown their hats into the ring for Duluth City Council At-Large seats.

Eric Meyer and Zack Filipovich along with a team of their supporters kicked off their respectable campaigns for Duluth City Councilor At-Large on Tuesday.

Meyer, a UMD graduate and employee at Grand Superior Lodge, says he has a strong vision for the city and believes in putting the people of Duluth before politics.

"As your city councilor I will put people before politics. I will be the candidate that strives to make the right choices even if they aren't the easy ones I'm not running for council to make any friends, I'm running to make a difference, I'm running to put people before politics," said At-Large candidate, Eric Meyer.

Zack Filipovich also kicked off his campaign for an At-Large seat on Tuesday. Filipovich, a Duluth area accountant, says his experience working for Duluth's Area Partnership for Economic Expansion would be instrumental in moving the city forward.

"One of my focuses is on economic development. I mean that. My background is in economic development. Knowing the big players in that field and making sure that we can attract new businesses here and keep old businesses here is key to Duluth's success," said Zack Filipovich, At-Large candidate.
