Two Cars Totaled in Crash Involving Superior Couple and Duluth Woman

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.COM)----A husband and wife from Superior and a women from Duluth were injured in a two car accident Sunday afternoon in Rice Lake Township.

The accident happened around 12:30 on Martin Rd. between Drake Rd. and Howard Gnesen Rd in Duluth.

Authorities say a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville driven by Kathleen Lafave, with a 1994 Lincoln Town Car carrying Eric and Lillian Rosenholm, ages 79 and 76.

As the Rosenholm’s were turning into a driveway, Lafave rear-ended the vehicle.

The collision sent the Rosenholm vehicle off the road, totaling both vehicles.

The couple was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital.

Both are in stable condition and do not face life threatening injuries.
Lafave sustained a wrist injury.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Volunteer Rescue Squad, Rice Lake Fire Dept., Gold Cross Ambulance as well as the MN State Patrol assisted in the accident.
