Two Men Arrested and Charged for Alleged Armed Robbery and Vehicle Theft

Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Two men have been arrested and charged following an armed robbery and vehicle theft incident in Superior, WI.

On October 11, Officers from the Superior Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery and vehicle theft in the area of Wal-Mart, on the 3700 block of Tower Avenue.

Officers say that the victim in this incident reported that he initially met the 19-year olds Cheyenne Allen Smith, of Cloquet and Jesse Jay Bohannon of McGregor, at a local bar and gave the two suspects a ride home as their vehicle was broken down.

Police say a short time later, while at a stoplight near Wal-Mart, the suspects approached the victim’s vehicle and allegedly pointed a firearm at him and demanded he exit the vehicle. The victim was eventually able to flee from the vehicle, unharmed, and the suspects left in the vehicle the victim had been driving.

The investigation identified two suspects as Smith and Bohannon.

Smith was located on October 17th while Officers were investigating a car prowling incident.

Bohannon was located on October 18th at a local nightclub.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
