Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Two say goodbye, and one says hello.

That's the case for two Super One stores in Superior as a brand new store plans to open its doors tomorrow.

The two locations closing are the Super One in the Belknap Plaza, and on East 5th Street. Along with price cuts on all the items inside, signs on the stores' doors today read that Saturday was their final day open.

In May of last year the Miner Family, which owns the chain of Super One grocery stores, broke ground on their newest site along Highway 2 at 22nd Avenue East.

City officials say they're hopeful the multi–million dollar effort will not only attract consumer traffic to the area, but other businesses as well.

During the development of the project, the Superior Chamber of Commerce said the city also planned on investing $800,000 in upgrades along 22nd and 23rd Avenues East.
