Two arrested for marijuana operation in the Wilderness Park Area

Leader, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- Two men have been arrested and are awaiting charges related to an extensive marijuana growing operation in the Wilderness Park Area.

On Thursday investigators and deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at a residence, and say they found over a hundred marijuana plants in various stages of growth, lights, fertilizers and other items that support marijuana growth. Deputies also seized a firearm and some methamphetamine.

57-year-old George Morcomb was arrested at the house and faces two felony charges. 42-year-old Larry Berg was also arrested later. Both have previous felony convictions. Berg's formal charges are pending. Both men have previous felony convictions.

The Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing. The Wilderness Park Area is in Meadow Brook Township of Leader, MN.
