Two serial church burglars plead guilty

Itasca County, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Itasca County Attorney says 42–year–old Danny Edward Madsen pleaded guilty to charges which arose from a series of church burglaries in Itasca County from June 2013 through December 2013.

The charges include six counts of felony second degree burglary, one count of felony attempted second degree burglary and two counts of felony third degree burglary.

Madsen, of Grand Rapids, MN, has a plea agreement calling for
10–year supervised probation with conditions including 12 months in jail, fines of $1,485, 20 hours of community service, no contact with victims and must provide DNA samples. Madsen's sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 19.

On March 25, 28–year–old co–defendant Erin Autio of Grand Rapids, MN, pleaded guilty to six counts of felony Second Degree Burglary, one count of felony Attempted Second Degree Burglary and two counts of felony Third Degree Burglary.

The Itasca county attorney says Autio's criminal charges stem largely from a series of church burglaries in Itasca County from June 2013 through December 2013. Autio also has a sentencing hearing on May 19.
