DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The Labovitz School of Business and Economics at UMD has now become home to the first Student Chapter of the Financial Planning Association in Minnesota.
The chapter was officially initiated today at JNBA office in the Duluth Tech Village.
FPA leaders say the association will give students opportunities to attend workshops, improve interview skills, and learn about internships.
"The student chapter at the University of Minnesota Duluth will be a step forward in this emerging profession of financial planning," said Marv Tuttle, CEO of FPA.
JNBA leaders say the association will help set UMD students apart when looking for jobs in the industry.
