Duluth, MN (NNNCOW.com) - Friends and family of the 19 year old UMD student found unconscious on a porch in subzero temperatures over the weekend say she had a "uneventful night last night."
According to Alyssa Lommel's Caring Bridge website, her breathing has improved though she remains on a ventilator in Region's Hospital, in Saint Paul.
It goes on to say there were no procedures scheduled for Wednesday, and they are trying to let as much tissue heal as possible before they make any decisions about further treatments.
Her Family continues to ask for prayers, and support in her recovery.
UMD Chancellor Lendley Black also posted on her Caring Bridge page this morning sending his encouragement.
Black is quoted as saying "you are in our thoughts and prayers. Be strong and know that we stand ready to assist you in any way possible. God bless you and your family."
When Police found Alyssa Jo Lommel on a porch in Duluth's Woodland neighborhood, her hands and other exposed body parts showed extreme swelling and there were signs of severe hypothermia.
