Voters Head to the Polls Tuesday for Primary Day in Duluth

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Duluthians will head to the polls Tuesday to narrow the field of candidates in a handful of local primary races.

There are five candidates vying for the two open At-Large seats on the Duluth City Council. Four will advance to the general election following tomorrow's primary.

The candidates are Zach Filipovich, Barb Russ, Ryan Stauber, Ray Sandman and Ray Whitledge.

There are also four open school board seats, including districts one and four, and two at-large seats.

Voters will narrow the field of at large candidates from six to four.
The six candidates are Henry Banks, Joshua Bixby, Annie Harala, Loren Martell, Nancy Nilsen, and Harry Welty.

In District one, Rosie Loeffler-Kemp, Joseph Matthes and Marcia Stromgren are all on the primary ballot; two will advance.

In District four David Bolgrien, Art Johnston and Justin Perpich will face off; two will advance.
