Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- This year's extended winter has set back many activities and events including blood donations.
Memorial Blood Centers, with offices across the Northland, is hoping to catch up on donations after multiple blood drives had to be cancelled due to the constant rounds of snow.
And now with college and high school letting out soon, blood donors will be running thin this summer.
Memorial held one of its first blood drives of the season today outside Fitgers in Duluth, but officials say they need more eligible donors to sign up for the upcoming blood drives this summer.
Memorial Blood Centers is the sole supplier of blood products for the Northland.
If you are interested in donating blood, you can visit Memorial Blood Center's website to sign up for an appointment at one of their offices and for a blood drive.
