Washington authorities receive credible tip on location of wanted man

Seattle, WA (NNCNOW.com) - A new lead could help authorities locate a wanted Minnesota man charged with 59 felony counts of child molestation.

On Wednesday, Authorities received a credible tip Victor Barnard was spotted leaving a McDonalds in a town just south of Seattle.

The witness told authorities Barnard was driving a dark blue Audi two door car.

The charges stem from a multi-year investigation into the 52-year-old while he was ministering to a religious group near Finlayson in Pine County.

According to the complaint, he assaulted at least two girls who were raised to believe they had to do what he wanted, telling them he was the "Christ in the flesh."

"Giving them religious beliefs, as twisted as they were, and using those against them," said Chief Deputy Steve Blackwell with the Pine County Sheriff's Department.
