The weather is looking spectacular for Wednesday. Lows tonight will be down to 16 with mostly cloudy skies. The northern lights should be out but clouds might hurt viewing. We have a high pressure system to the SE and a low pressure system to the NW, they will work together to bring in a steady SW flow that will warm us up to 31 in Duluth and even warmer away from the lake. Does anyone else feel a little cheated from winter? Wow.
Anyway the balmy weather continues into Thursday as the aforementioned low pushes closer to the Northland further giving us a WSW flow that will keep lows near 20 and highs at 32. I'm expecting more clouds for Duluth and only a 20% chance of flurries. The best chance of some snow showers will be around International Falls and the Borderland.
Friday a few of the models have a weak low pressure system forming just to our west and moving over the Great Lake States. Because of this I'm including a 20% chance for Friday afternoon into the evening hours. Lows will be at 15 and highs near 30.
Colder air will spill into the area on Saturday, and this will create enough uplift to warrant another 20% chance of snow. Lows will be at 12 and highs at 19.
Make it a great day!
