Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The pros and cons of the nationwide effort to raise the minimum wage have been weighed countless times by those on both sides of the argument.

On Friday, the White House unveiled a new, interactive map highlighting the positive effects of raising the national minimum wage.

In his State of the Union address, President Obama called on Congress to raise national minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $10.10. That's been signed into law for federal employees.

Those opposing a minimum wage increase argue that it will result in the loss of jobs, and costlier services.
