(NNCNOW.com) --- Two wildfires have burned 6,000 acres on the Red Lake Reservation in Beltrami County. Authorities with the Beltrami County Emergency Management office say the fires are burning West of Highway 89 and North of Highway 1, but no structures are threatened. Tuesday evening the DNR reported the fire was contained to about 4,000 acres. An alert has been issued to advise those living in the area of the possibility of smoke and haze and fire-fighting aircraft. DNR Forestry crews are working to contain the fires.
