William A. Irvin gets its ghoul on for 26th annual Haunted Ship tour
Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - There's a new insane asylum in Duluth's Canal Park, and it's bound to be one of the scariest places you'll go this Halloween season. This year's theme for the 26th annual William A. Irvin Haunted Ship tour is the "Blackthorne Asylum." According to Production Manager Alex Dunning, the indescribable workload that goes into prepping the vessel begins in May. Anywhere from 40 to 80 ghoulish actors are lurking in the shadows, ready to scare the droves of Northlanders that trek through the ship each year. It's that fear, says Dunning, that keeps him coming back. "Once you see those people scream and run, or fall to the ground, or run into a wall because they don't know what else to do, it makes you feel good on the inside. It's a little sadistic, but it's entertaining, for sure," laughed Dunning. Tickets are 10 dollars at the door, and one dollar off with a canned good. For the next two weeks, it's buy one, get one tickets for students. The haunted tours last through October 31st.
