Superior, Wis. (NNCNOW.com) -- Kelly Westlund made a stop in Superior on Wednesday to launch her campaign against Wisconsin's 7th District Congressmen Sean Duffy.

Westlund announced her campaign for congress on Tuesday in Wausau.

Her week long tour; "Progress for the People" features several stops around the district talking to workers about what they would like to see done in Washington.

Westlund has been endorsed by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee.

She currently sits on the Ashland City Council representing ward 11.

She said she will not be seeking reelection to the council so she can focus on her congressional campaign.

"I look at what's happening in Washington and it's so polarized and we are not able to move ourselves forward as a country. I'm a person that believes in a government formed by the people and I don't think that Sean Duffy is doing a good job at representing regular hard working everyday people," said Westlund.

Other stops tour include Hudson Wis. on Friday wrapping up on Dec. 18 back in Wausau.
