Lake County, MN (NNCNOW.com) - An invasive species has been discovered in a lake along the North Shore.

The Minnesota DNR says an aluminum can discovered in Crooked Lake in Lake County was encrusted with Zebra Mussels.

The discovery prompted the DNR to designate the lake as an infested body of water.

The DNR is expected to investigate several nearby bodies of water to see if they have any signs of Zebra Mussels.
