Duluth Police Investigate Hit-And-Run
Duluth Police are investigating a hit and run crash Saturday morning that injured a pedestrian. Officials say the crash happened at 2:34 A.M. in the 2200-block of Rice Lake Road, just north of Campus Park Townhomes. Authorities say the 18-year-old male victim was walking south on the shoulder of Rice Lake Road with three other friends when he was struck by a vehicle. After the crash, police say the vehicle left the scene. The victim was transported to St. Mary's where he is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Police say the vehicle is a SUV, possibly a Honda, black in color. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger side as well as a broken-off mirror.
