12-year-old victim in Wisconsin stabbing released from hospital

Waukesha, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The 12-year-old victim in the Waukesha, Wisconsin stabbing has been released from the hospital, according to her parents.

The 12-year-old girl, allegedly stabbed 19 times by two of her classmates last weekend is being blamed on the girls' fascination with a fictitious horror character known as "Slenderman."

Police say, the suspects reportedly invited the victim to a sleepover, where they allegedly planned to kill her while she was sleeping.

A statement from the victim's parents says, "she is excited to be out of the hospital, see her pets, and continue along the road to recovery."

The two 12-year-old suspects have been charged as adults, with first-degree attempted homicide.
