Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Police in Ashland are warning the public about counterfeit $20 bills being used at businesses in town.
Police say the counterfeit money, which appears to be photocopied, popped up about two weeks ago.
The bills do not have a water mark when you hold them to the light.
They also don’t have the embedded metal strip in the paper.
Police also say the lines of the bill aren’t correct and may appear crooked.
