Cable, WI (NNCNOW.com) - A deal to save Telemark Lodge has fallen apart and power to the iconic landmark will be turned off.
The new owners of the property had been in talks with the Central Cross Country Ski Association, on a deal in which they would give the lodge to the Association and lease out 135 acres of land.
According to James Bolen with the Cable Chamber of Commerce, CXC was actively seeking a management firm to the run the lodge but those efforts were unsuccessful.
Now the association is no longer interested in the property.
Owners of the Telemark property continue to work with the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation to ensure the smooth operation of the upcoming "Birkie" in February of 2013.
