Bayfield, WI (Northlands NewsCenter)
-- A former Wisconsin Senator made a stop in northwest Wisconsin to promote his New York Times bestselling book.

It was standing room only to hear Russ Feingold speak at the Big Water Cafe & Coffee Roasters in Bayfield.

His book, "While America Sleeps," looks at what has been done, domestically, and abroad since the terrorist attacks on September 11th.

Feingold's book outlines what steps should be taken to ensure the safety for our country in the coming years.

He says threats are still prevalent in America.

"I guarantee you a number of threats still continue in that part of the world. This whole thing isn't over and I think it's a critical thing."

Feingold currently is serving as the co-chair for President Obama's re-election campaign.
