Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The organization has been flying predominately World War II veterans from Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin to Washington D.C. since 2010.

However, organizers say they're simply running out of veterans, as most around the area have already taken the flight in previous years or have passed away.

Northland Honor Flight has allowed terminally ill Korean War and Vietnam War vets to take the flight, but even that isn't filling the seats.

"We may have a large list of people, but then—when the calling starts—it shortens up pretty quickly. So, that's been our challenge this whole time," said Northland Honor Flight Co-Chair Judy Greske.

The flight will take off Tuesday morning, at 6:30, and is scheduled to return later that night, at 10.
