Hayward, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Four people were injured in two separate boating accidents in Sawyer County on Sunday.

On September 2 at 2:37 p.m., the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office responded to Lac Courte Oreilles lake near Victory Heights Circle, Sand Lake Township, on a call of a male that was hit by a jet ski.

Authorities learned that the victim sustained injuries to his abdomen after he was hit by a slow moving jet ski and pushed in to a boat lift.

The man was helicoptered from Hayward Hospital to an outlying hospital.

An hour and a half later, at 4:03 p.m., the Sheriff's Office received two calls from the R & R Bayview Resort on Twin Bay Road in the Town of Hunter, requesting an ambulance after a tube collided with a boat.

A Chippewa Flowage Ranger told the Northland's NewsCenter that one girl was transported by helicopter to St. Mary's in Duluth after sustaining pelvic injuries, while another girl was transported to a Hayward hospital and was later released.

One person riding in the pontoon at the time of the incident, was hit by an object, and was also treated and released for injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the DNR Chippewa Flowage ranger.
