Bayfield, WI (Northland's News Center) -- A dramatic rescue near Bayfield Saturday morning after a group of ice fishers riding on four wheelers broke through some bad ice.

Authorities say the incident occurred about ten miles out near the Apostle Islands.

The group of men were reportedly driving their four wheelers out to go fishing when one of them broke through some bad ice...going 160–feet below the surface.

Two others fell half way through...the fourth person did not fall through and was able to call for help.

Rescuers from the La Pointe Fire Department used their specialized ice rescue wind sled to pull the men to safety.

One of the men reportedly suffered hypothermia but they are all said to be in okay condition.
