Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Duluth Police are warning motorists to avoid travel due to ice-covered roads across the city.

Freezing rain and the temperatures covered the roadways with ice early Sunday morning.

Multiple weather-related crashes are being reported.

Traffic going up Mesaba Avenue near 7th Street was at a standstill around 11 a.m. Sunday, as seen in the video submitted by Linda Nervick.

Cars were also seen sliding down Lake Avenue, as seen in the video submitted by Shannon Brigid Flaherty.

The Duluth Transit Authority has resumed its regular bus service in the city, however they ask that people be patient in case there are delays due to the ice covered roads.

MnDOT reported difficult driving conditions between Exit 159: Rush Lake Road (near Rock Creek) and MN 61 in Duluth.
