Janet Bewley announces candidacy for Wis. Senate

Ashland, Wis. (NNCNOW.com) -- Wisconsin Assembly Representative Janet Bewley has announced she will run for the Wisconsin State Senate seat for the 25th district held by retiring Senator Bob Jauch.

Bewley currently represents the 74 Assembly District for the state which includes Ashland.

At her announcement on Monday in Superior, Bewley said she hopes to continue to be the voice of reason and be a strong progressive voice for the people of the North.

The seat is currently held by Senator Bob Jauch, who announced his intentions to retire in October.

Jauch has represented the 25th Senate District since 1987.
