Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - An estimated 132 million people were reported as still trying to figure out last–minute gifts on Christmas Eve, 14 percent of which began their shopping today.

It's estimated that the majority of gifts purchased today will come in the form of liquor, cash, gift cards, and lottery tickets.

But it wasn't the holiday crunch that got shopper Mike Stukel to the Miller Hill Mall, in Duluth, earlier Monday. Instead, it was a last–minute gift exchange for his brother that took him back to the crowds.

"At first I spent a little too much, so I decided to exchange it and buy something else," said Stukel, laughing.

...reminding us that it's truly the thought that counts, right?
