Last of snow melts in Superior

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com)--- The snowpocalypse is finally over...and all the snow it left behind has finally melted.

The last remnants of the massive snow dump pile behind Ole Haugsrud Stadium just finally disappeared Monday.

This video shows wat the pile looked like back In May, when the Superior Chamber of Commerce launched the Snowpocalypse contest as a way to celebrate the end of a very long, brutally cold and extremely snowy winter.

For a chance to win prizes, people were invited to log onto Facebook and guess how long it would take for the snow to finally melt.

Gerry Olson of Superior may have been pessimistic with his guess of July 7, but as it turns out, that was the winning date, for which Olsen won a number of passes and gift certificates to use in town.

Leslie Filteau of Sheboygan won the out of towners division with her guess of June 8.
