Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Wisconsin Drug Enforcement Administration along with IRS officials were seen outside of JC Moon, an Ashland head shop known for selling synthetics, this morning.

According to Special Agent Rick Myrland with the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation, this is in connection with an ongoing investigation into JC Moon.

Agent Myrland said they were conducting "official business" with the head shop, however authorities could not give any details into the nature of the investigation.

The IRS, along with Wisconsin Criminal Investigation agents, the states Drug Enforcement Administration and Ashland County Sheriff deputies were on the scene.

Authorities say they expect JC Moon will return to business as usual tomorrow, however it is unclear if synthetics will be sold in the shop.

We have a reporter in Ashland and will update our audience when more information is released.
